Psalms 127:3; Mark 9:33-37; Mark 10:14-16; Matthew 18:4-6—

There is a pattern with Jesus. Jesus gets angry when people mistreat kids. The word stumble usually means to fall into sin or to lose the faith. So, that leaves us all pondering this question: Is there anything currently that you do or that you say that could cause the kids you influence—perhaps your own children or someone else’s—to fall into sin or to lose their faith? If there is anything in your life—a sin, an attitude, etc.—that could mess those children up, then you need to get on your knees and repent.

When the glory of God has departed in our lives, we have two options. If we are to become what we were created to be, we need to repent of our brainless exchange (Romans 1:22) and recognize the glory we have been desperately missing: the glory of Jesus who is the perfect image of God (Col. 1:15).

When we make Jesus our king and place our trust and allegiance in him, the Holy Spirit begins to reshape us to our original created glory.

So, which will it be… continuing to worship idols which disappoint (money, sex, and power) or bowing the knee to Jesus?

Will you open your eyes to the glory of Jesus or settle for stupid shadows?

Jehova Nissa- God Our Banner | WHAT'S IN A NAME

How can we believe in God when every day feels like a battle? What does the Bible say about God's protection when trouble and enemies are closing in around us? God’s character of being our honor, our defender, our helper in times of trouble is in the name: Jehova Nissi.

Exodus 17:8-16

ABOUT THIS SERIES:
The many names of God revealed in Scripture tell us much about who He is. Those names invite us to know Him in a growing and intimate relationship. In this series, we’ll examine 4 of those names more closely. And in doing so, we’ll get a glimpse of the infinite God that we are forging our life on. God reveals Himself fully so that we might experience who He is in all His fullness.

WHY GOD…do I struggle with anxiety and depression?
Jesus is victorious over everything, right?
Sometimes we believe if we have enough faith, the problems of this life will go away. Mental health is a huge issue and, for a long time, the church counted it all as a faith issue. We do believe that anxiety and depression can be caused by spirits, but sometimes it is just a result of living in a fallen world that includes illness, imbalance, and chaos. In this sermon, we’re going to peel the complicated onion of anxiety, depression, and why a good God won’t just take it all away.
1 Peter 5:7; Proverbs 29:25

We even tell people who are immature that they need to “step it up.” “Up and to the right” is what every person hopes the graph of their life looks like; but, do we hope the same for our faith? Are we working on growing in the adventure we are forging a lifelong reliance on God? This series will take a look at all the tools we can use to make sure that our faith is going “up and to the right " day by day.

The Church Should Reflect God's Generosity

Every person is created in the image of God and it is the responsibility of the Church to do what Jesus did: restore dignity, support the needy, comfort the hurting, and proclaim the goodness of God. But how does the Church do that? It's definitely not by checking in for a Sunday sermon or a Bible study and just taking care of those inside the four walls we call "church".

The kingdom of God takes enemy ground when His people recognize the great generosity of God and reflect that back to the world. This takes the form of heart changes and practical means.

The sermon "Your Generosity Is Someone's Testimony" emphasizes the joy and fulfillment found in giving, contrasting it with the regret often associated with material possessions. Through biblical examples and principles, Andrew illustrates the concept of supernatural math, where God's provision multiplies generosity. Encouraging a shift in perspective towards trusting God's daily provision, the sermon highlights the eternal impact of generosity beyond mere financial blessings. Testimonies shared throughout the sermon affirm the transformative power of generosity in changing lives and communities for the better.

This sermon addresses the reality of battles in our lives, covering personal struggles such as marriage, parenting, purity, mental health, and temptations. Using Ephesians 6:10-12, we can see the spiritual warfare we face and the need to identify the true enemy. Drawing parallels to a boxer in a match and the city of Ephesus, Pastor Andrew emphasizes relying on God's strength and putting on the full armor of God to engage in the good fight alongside God. Ultimately, the sermon encourages recognizing and engaging with life's battles through understanding their spiritual nature and standing firm in God's strength.

Of course, while none of these things are terrible, they’re not really the whole story. But there is one place we can go to find the one who wants to see it all— the good, the bad, and everything in between? God! God doesn’t just want to see the highlights of who we are; God doesn’t want our best foot forward. Instead, God wants to meet our authentic selves. His light in our lives can illuminate who we really are in Him. It can lead us to real lives lived as our real selves!

If there’s one thing that we all know for certain, it’s nothing lasts forever. That’s why, if we put all our time, effort, and love into things that fade away, we’re only going to be disappointed in the end. We’ll be left with nothing. The good news is that, as believers, we know that there is one thing that does not fade away. One thing that is real and true. One thing that will really last forever. That’s our relationship with God! As Christians, we’re called to live real lives based on the stuff that really lasts. Rather than put our energy into the temporary, God calls us to put our eyes on the eternal. (1 John 2:15-17)
